Two day live training video accessibility
Video is the go to medium to share knowledge, laugh together and to communicate with customers and partners. But how do you ensure that your videos are inclusive and therefore also accessible to people with a visual or hearing impairment (on average about 15% of website visitors)? By signing the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, countries have committed to obligation to provide online video content in a way that is accessible for everyone. This means that we have to apply the accessibility standards of websites, including for video content. Twice a year we organise a live training that will teach you exactly how to do that.
During this two-day video accessibility training, two experienced professionals will teach you the tricks of the trade. Afterwards you will have the skills to get started with video accessibility and you will soon be able to easily add subtitles and audio description to videos to comply with the rules that apply to web accessibility (WCAG2.1 AA).
Day 1: basics subtitles
Become a skilled subtitler and learn more about the extra addition for people with a hearing impairment.
Day 2: basic audio description
Learn to make a good image description for your online videos so that people with a visual impairment can also follow your video.
