What can you expect?

The learning environment is a Google website, so you don't need to download any software to use it. With your own email address and password, you can access the learning environment for 2 months. If you need more time, the period can be extended by mutual agreement.

In the online learning environment, we provide the theory in several steps that teach you step by step how to make a video accessible.

In 3 different chapters, we take you through the key components of making a video accessible

• Audio description
• Alternative text or transcript

To put theory into practice, create a free account at Scribit.Pro, which will give you access to the editor. Here you can produce the captions and audio description yourself. And when you're done with this, you can also download the basic alternative text. In our tutorial, we explain step by step how easy it is to use the editor.

The theory is explained in short tutorials that are then further explained with tips and tricks. The short videos make it easy to look up tips again without having to go through another long video to do so.

Each chapter has a number of paragraphs that end with an exercise. These are meant to provide additional training and to help you test out the theory in practice. If you complete all the exercises and hand them in, and take the aptitude test at the end, you will receive a certificate after successful completion.
